Wow... I couldn't sleep last night because I was waiting to get an email letting me know that I could use my phone. It won't let you do anything until it is activated, no syncing of contacts, music, videos, nothing. You can't even play with the interface or setup any preferences.
I now feel like I have what people are calling the iBrick. It is the slickest damn iBrick I have ever seen but the device is completely useless at this point. ATT has really botched this whole experience, I am sure that good old Steve isn't happy that so many people are left with devices that don't work.

This is why I'm quite happy to wait to buy the newest toys.

Ah, Colleen, what's the point of being rich if you can't be on the bleeding edge of technology? ;D

Wow, that blows. :( Sorry Ted.
But I suppose you knew there were possibilities of errors. I sure know I waited because I have no patience at all!

Ugh I'm envious. I really want to try out the iPhone. But, at the same time..I'm sure you REALLY want to try it since it's sitting there tempting you. :P Hope you get to play with it soon!

Yikes... I hope (sorry) that you are just unlucky and this isn't too widespread. I bought AT&T stock in anticipation of huge revenue gains.

No offense, but look at what happens to PPP's network when it gets hammered. The same is happening with AT&T. Patience.

well, as cool as they are, i always make it a point never to buy any radically new technology until its been around for a year or maybe two. Remember when those MP3 players came out and they were soo expensive, now you can pick them up super cheap all over the place. i have no problem waiting until there cheaper and the bugs are worked out. Kind of like buying a slightly used car instead of a brand new one.

Why can't you iphone freaks see through all the hype??????????
FYI - There are phones out there that already do pretty much everything the iphone does. Look spend $400 - $1000 on any cell phone and I can pretty much guarantee you that you can watch videos, listen to music, heck I think some phones can read your mind nowadays.
Just think you don't have to dial because the phones already doing it, it read your mind!
Who know's the next generation iphone might just go to work for you. I mean imagine buying a phone that could do your job. Jeez then you'd have so much free time.
listen next time you hear about a device like this, don't believe the hype and don't wait hours in line to spend 500-600 dollars, come on over here, there's no line no waiting and you can give me your money. Seriously we will be hearing about all your little iphones in six to twelve months from now about how it is just a paperweight, how it broke on you and how disappointed you are. Don't come a crying over here cause I don't wanna hear it. I got my trusty $200.00 cell phone and if it breaks you won't hear me crying about it.
May the force be with you, ifreaks.
