Thursday was Tara's birthday. For the past 2 years she has been asking me for a puppy and this year I finally broke. It was a big decision for me, I am not sure that I have the time to take care of another life. I travel a lot and I am rarely home. Tara travels a bit too but not nearly with the same level of activity as I do. Whenever I am gone and she is home she reminds me how nice it would be to have a dog at home with her.
On Thursday I left work a little early and drove to the puppy store. I played with the puppy a bit, then walked out and said to myself "what am I doing!?!?!". I got in my truck and sat for a bit, got back out and went back in. I repeated this twice before I finally bit the bullet. I think the people in the store were laughing at me. I knew how much she wanted a puppy and how happy it would make it her. I had to take myself and my concerns out of the equation.
The puppy sat on my lap as I drove to see Tara at her work and surprise her. This picture is from that trip home. While the dog was running all over the place going crazy at the store she didn't even move then entire way home. All she did was cuddle up against me. I knew I made the right choice.
Her name as Bonzo. You'll be seeing more of her around the PPP Office.

Having no children myself, getting a pet dog is a blessing. They are just so cuddly and cute!! Who picked the name? I'm surprised you didn't name it after your famous "Whoooo" yell. Then everytime you get home and call her name "Whoooo come here", you can do your little leg in the air kick. LOL!!!

She is very precious. Getting a dog was the best thing I ever did, and I am sure you will quickly feel the same way. He keeps me company, boosts my ego by being excited to see me every time I walk into the room, and I couldn't imagine him not being around!
What kind of dog is she? Is she a puppy or an adult?

So far so good with the little Bonzo pup - she had her first vet visit this weekend and currently weighs in at 4.5 lbs. She's had a lot of other first too - chewing her bone, running in the yard, jumping over obstacles.
We're still working on sleeping time, but I know she'll soon adjust to that, too.
