It's all starting to come together and it is extremely exciting. I was browsing through Argus today and I got the chills. This thing is going to be amazing once everything is tweaked and hooked together. I want to thank all of you who have participated in the analytics testing process. The data that we have collected has been very helpful.
It is amazing to see the difference in numbers reported by all the different stats packages. It seems everyone has their own idea of what a visitor and pageview is. The good news is that we are in line with the various packages out there and are comfortable with the data we are capturing and will be reporting. So.... what is all this data going to be used for? Here is a little glimpse into the future...

That graph of Google PR looks useless. It changes so rarely a graph isn't very interesting.
I'll be interested to see the other stats part.
I am also surprised that I never got a response to my question about your analytics testing process. I asked about what time zone we should use for our day. A change of 4 hours will drastically change the stats that I report for my west coast "day." Google Analytics allows you to change the time zone which would help with this problem, but other packages don't.

Hey Keith - I use Quick Blog from godaddy, too. Since all you have to be able to do is install the PPP code, we can do it. I just stuck mine in my sidebar, and PPP picks it up fine.
Cool, cause I didn't know anyone else who used it.

There were voting irregularities at the BCA. I am not making this up. I say irregularities and not fraud because most likely it is a system glitch. Nevertheless, it needs to be corrected.

I agree its much like the google analytics stats that I already use... Forgive me for sounding dumb but is argus only a stats program?

Talina,
Argus is certainly more than a stats program. However, from what Ted's said, I think we can speculate that this stats program will be one of the integral pieces of Argus. The key is what Argus will do with those stats that make it so much more interesting than Google Analytics. PPP doesn't have access to your Google Analytics stats. However, with this new Argus stats program, PPP will be able to create all sorts of new options for advertisers to better hone in on their target market.
Disclaimer: I'm just a postie like you, but I think my reasoning is pretty solid.
