National Memory Screening Day

Hey Posties,

Did you know that November is National Alzheimer's Awareness Month and November 13th is National Memory Screening Day? Please encourage your readers to spread the word that if anyone is concerned about memory problems, they can take advantage of free confidential memory screenings at sites from coast-to-coast.

Knowledge = Care!

Check out the Alzheimer's Foundation of America website to learn more about Alzheimer's disease and related illness...and successful aging. According to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, memory problems can be caused by a variety of factors and identifying the problem is the first step in addressing it and obtaining proper care and early detection is critical to maximize available medical treatments and support services.

Please look for the National Memory Screening Day PPP marketplace opportunity in the next couple of days, just in time for National Alzheimer's Awareness Month!

For a screening in your neighborhood, visit http://www.nationalmemoryscreening.org!

Thanks!

I hope I can remember to blog about this and change my site accordingly (currently suited up for breast cancer month).

My grandpa doesn't have Alzheimer's, but he does have severe dementia and it's absolutely heart breaking, especially when he forgets where his wife his in the evening and he has to be told over and over again that she passed away just over two weeks ago on October 14th.

I guess the above post (by me!) means that you can't have quotation marks in your name :P

Condolences on your family's loss, "Mommy", I know it has to be extra difficult for everyone given your grandfather's dementia.

November is also National Family Caregiver Month, so I would like to take this chance to say an early thank you to you and the others in your family who are helping your grandfather.

I will be blogging about National Alzheimer's Awareness Month and National Memory Screening Day on all of my many blogs, rather I am lucky enough to get an opportunity from the marketplace or not. They are simply too important not to raise awareness in every way possible.
