Mr. Fab has done an incredible job adding both knowledge and fun to the IZEA blog. So much so that we are interested in adding an additional guest blogger to the list. I am looking for another expert blogger that can add some real value to our community and provide some valuable insight to both bloggers and advertisers. Think of yourself as an IZEA community ambassador.
This is a paid gig ($200/mo for 4 posts) that can provide you with a great platform to showcase your wisdom and promote your own blog in the process. If you are interested in the opportunity please create a sample post on your blog and drop the URL into the comments below. I will be choosing one blogger next week and we'll get you started February 1.
Update: There have been a number of questions about the topic of the post. This role is largely self directed. We don't really tell you what to write about, though we may occasionally give you some ideas. The post you submit should be representative of what you might write about if given the opportunity to blog for us. You need to understand the needs and interests of our community to be a good fit.

Since you didn't specify any particular topic for the sample post, I wrote about the Sweeney Todd movie. Hopefully that will be good enough to put me in the running. ^_^

Here is my post about Encouraging other bloggers. I hope that it is worthy of nabbing the Guest Blogger position with the IZEA blog.

Hello Ted. I am very interested in this opportunity. I was a beta tester of IzeaRanks and provided quick and thorough testing communicating with Peter. I have a wide range of knowledge from Blogging, extensive knowledge of Wordpress and plugins and themes, to Web Design, to SEO, to Computer Hardware & Networking, to Social Media, Video Editing, Finance and Investing, Business, Sports, Religion, Virtual 3d Worlds, and more. I am looking at becoming much more involved in Izea and have been very active on the message boards. I was also interested in the opportunity to host local meetings of Posties in my area. I often stay on top of many different areas of business and technical advancement and news so would be well suited for this opportunity. I subscribe to many different RSS feeds from ShoeMoney, Problogger, John Chow, Andy Beard, Matt Cutts, and more Blogging related sites. I provide a high level of communication and expertise. Most importantly I have highly advanced problem solving skills and am able to throw myself into virtually any system or program and quickly figure things out. Please take a look at some of my work and let me know of any questions you may have. Thank you for the opportunity.

Hey Ted. Just dropping by and adding my two cents. It would be great to see a female postie get the opportunity to blog alongside the Izea team especially if they are also active in the community/boards.
Not to mention, I personally manage over 20+ blogs, and one more as a guest blogger would be awesome!! *wink, wink*
Here's one of my latest posts.

I agree, a female should be given the chance. So much so, I'm linking to a post I wrote last week after losing my job.

I always read posts about the weird search results that end up at someone's site, so I decided to take the reverse and discuss my own weird searches, based on my google toolbar:

As a female, I strongly object to anyone being chosen because of their gender. I don't see how a person's plumbing makes them a better candidate than the next person. Being hired for being a girl only makes sense if you're Christina Applegate. But when you're chosing a writer, choose the one that does the best job, regardless of whether they are an innie or an outie.

Will there be a postie wide vote on this? Or is it just whoever IZEA picks? Because I'd really like to see Drew on the spot, and that's in no offense to other submitters. :)

I think the Izea should pick who would be best for posting on the blog.

I'm a professional blogger and freelancer, that specializes in blogging tips. You can check out some good posts of mine at my blog, listed in the comment form. I could do a special blogging feature every week without any hassle. Think the feature would be a great addition to the blog as well.

Man, I'll bet a lot of those posts are really good.
But, only one commenter used a clickable link, with anchor text. Man, that guy really cared about making it easy for his audience to go directly to his post.
(Ducking and running!)

Oh the dilemma! Do I dare risk one more attempt and perhaps end up with yet more egg on my face? Sure I do! A good blogger keeps trying until it's right!
