So today we decided to show our support for the American Heart Association by participating in National Wear Red Day. By wearing red we helped the American Heart Association's ongoing research and education about women and heart disease. Too few people realize that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women (and men), but the good news is heart disease can often be prevented. Because of this we ransacked our closets to find something red to help display our support for the American Cancer Society and their fight to end this epidemic!
The whole initiative is about keeping your heart healthy, get it? Wear Red? Clever, I know.
Here's some more links with some more information. Enjoy!

Yes, thanks for the reminder that February is heart health month...nice tie in with Valentines Day. We had this hit close to home when my hubby had a heart attack on Fathers Day this past summer...he's doing well, though.
BTW, you all look great in red!

Very thoughtful, but I have to hope that the socks and flip flops are a joke.

Corrin, I promise the socks and flip flops are only in the office. I work with a bunch of polar bears and refuse to give up my flip flops. I completely forgot to take the socks off for the picture! Big, pink, fluffy slippers are my next thought! ;)
