IZEA lends a helping hand

This past weekend some of the IZEA folks, along with sister company MindComet, gave up their Saturday morning to help a local non-profit organization do some much-needed painting in their facilities.  Granted, we were indoors for most it, in the air conditioning, but I think we all felt good about helping those who are a little less fortunate than we.

While I can't disclose the name or location of the organization we volunteered at, I can share some photos I took (and yes, I painted as well).  And we quickly learned Annie doesn't like having her picture taken!

Special thanks to the following folks for giving up part of their weekend: Andrew, Annie, Colleen, Crystal, Jamie, Josh, Lisa, Stuart, Vance, and Karen (for helping coordinate the volunteer activities).

Inside or outside you gave your time. You don't have to get completely filthy and sweaty to give your time. Helping is helping and that is what you guys did. Good for you!

You are so right. As we've mentioned many times here on the blog, as well as on our boards, we firmly believe in giving back any way we can. So we're happy we could give some of our time....

And here's what their volunteer coordinator had to say on Monday, after the big paint:

'I wanted to thank you and all your wonderful volunteers that came out on Saturday. Kim had nothing but great things to say about everyone that came out. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated you guys ROCK!!!'

I agree - you all rock!! I heard it was lots of fun, but you definitely got a lot of work done, too!!
