Light at the End of the Tunnel

For those of you who want to experience a little of the Blog America Tour here's a short timelapse of the second to last leg of the road trip.  This starts in somewhere, New Mexico on the old Route 66 and finishes about 30 minutes away from Phoenix.  It was one of the prettiest drives of the trip, especially when the sun began to set in the mountains, it was really an amazing sight, especially coming from Florida.

Japan Photos, not many

This album is powered by BubbleShare - Add to my blog Some of the photos we've taken, I'll try to get some video up later.  It appears to be 9 40PM your time, and it's 10 40AM Tokyo time, Friday.  Miss you people. Veronique

Watashi-wa Veronique!

4:30 AM Wake up, shower, stare in mirror and cry because it's freaking 4:30
5:10 AM Leave with Mike, Luke and Pete for airport- Mike's gas light goes on at least 7 times, I'm worried.
6:00 AM Retrieve self-check-in boarding passes, security, Burger King
6:30 AM Sit at gate

Our flight to Atlanta will board in a few minutes and then we're off to Tokyo!  My Japanese is pretty rusty [read: non-existent], so this will be fun!  What's cool is when we fly back, we'll be going back in time.  We leave Tokyo at 3:30PM on Wednesday and land in Orlando at 3:15 PM.  Neato!

If any Posties are in Tokyo, lemme know and we can go to the Ocean Dome together!  We've got a lot of stuff planned, including a J-league game [Japanese baseball], theme parks, and the Tokyo Game Show.  They're calling Zone 1 and we are in....Zone 7.  Damn you, discount tickets!

Ok, I'm heading out- if Mike and Luke don't do it like I asked, my shout-out for this week goes to Eric, for helping out with some CL stuff last week.  Thanks, man.

Until later,
Veronique

Dragon*CON

Hi! I'm Andrew, one of the newest Development Team members. I'm a network admin, therefore kinda nerdy computer guy so I'm pre-qualified required to attend Dragon*CON each year. Any posties going this year? I'd love to meet some of you! Since there are more of you than of me, you'll have to introduce yourself as one of the in-crowd. You can find me in the crowd, but finding this particular costume should be easy enough:

Wonder Whoa, man

For the posties that don't have the chance to share the magic that is Dragon*CON, we'll post about it later and will try to include some pictures (not as scary as this one, I hope :) and perhaps even video!

Do you know the way to San Jose?

Randy and I just wrapped up our last day at SES in San Jose today. Other than the fact that Fedex lost our booth we had a very successful trade show. We were busy than ever meeting up with some interesting people in the industry along with reconnecting with our trade show circuit friends.

Here are some pics from the show and out and about in San Jose.

I'm off to LA!

I am heading off to LA this morning. As always my flight is delayed... so happy I got up at 4am only to sit at the airport : ) I'm actually lucky that this flight is delayed, cheaptickets.com totally messed up my reservation and I would never have made my flight.

I tried to check in via the kiosk and that didn't work so I had to get in the regular line. As I got to the front of the line they call me on my cell phone and say "we're sorry, we didn't actually make a reservation for you. We can get you on another flight later today that flies into San Francisco and then connects to Los Angeles." I was like what? I have a print out with my confirmation number right here! "Yes, we understand that but we didn't actually book that and your flight is sold out". Great timing guys.

I spent an hour at the airline counter this morning clearing that mess up. The person at United was awesome and took care of me, getting me on the flight that was sold out. Luckily I still got an aisle seat. Are you an aisle or window person? Is there such a thing as a middle person... someone who actually prefers to be in the middle of a hot, smelly stranger sandwich?

I don't have dinner plans tonight so if anyone is bored and would like to meet up that would be cool. I am staying at the Marriott Courtyard in Marina Del Ray. Drop me a comment if you are in the area.
